Partners and Networks
CIGF believes that enduring responses to educational, institutional and generational challenges are built through relationships across institutions, sectors, communities and contexts.
As an emerging institute, CIGF is progressively developing a network of mission-aligned relationships that can support knowledge exchange, collaborative learning, institutional cooperation, co-design and responsibly developed initiatives.
Building a Collaborative Network
CIGF seeks to connect organizations and individuals whose knowledge, experience and institutional strengths can contribute to shared challenges and opportunities.
Our developing network may bring together educational institutions, researchers and knowledge organizations, community and civil society organizations, public institutions, industry and innovation ecosystems, professional networks and other aligned partners.
Rather than building a network for its own sake, CIGF seeks to create purposeful relationships through which complementary expertise, institutional experience and local knowledge can be brought together to understand shared challenges, develop practical responses and strengthen institutional learning.
Shared Purpose
Collaboration should respond to a clearly identified area of mutual interest and contribute to CIGF’s mission and areas of engagement.
Clarity & Accountability
Roles, responsibilities, expectations, leadership, intellectual contributions, attribution and appropriate safeguards should be clearly understood as collaboration develops.
Youth & Intergenerational Perspectives
Where relevant, collaboration should create meaningful opportunities for younger generations and other affected communities to contribute perspectives, knowledge and experience to the design and learning process.
Partnership Principles
Reciprocity & Mutual Value
Partnerships should recognize the knowledge, perspectives, capabilities and contributions of participating organizations and communities.
Context & Local Knowledge
Initiatives should respect the institutional, community, cultural and regional contexts in which collaboration takes place.
Learning & Knowledge Exchange
Partnerships should create opportunities to exchange experience, strengthen institutional learning and generate knowledge that can inform future practice.
Long-Term Relationship Building
Where appropriate, CIGF seeks to develop relationships that can grow thoughtfully over time rather than relying solely on one-time or transactional engagement.
Networks Across Contexts
CIGF is grounded in Canada while maintaining a global outlook and progressively developing relationships for international and cross-regional collaboration where there is meaningful alignment with its mission.
Drawing on experience in institutional collaboration, education and international engagement, CIGF is particularly interested in responsible connections between Canadian and international partners where these can contribute to shared learning, stronger institutions and generational futures.
International engagement will develop progressively, guided by CIGF’s capacity, mission and the interests and readiness of participating partners.
How Relationships Can Develop
CIGF’s network will evolve as the Institute develops. Relationships may begin through dialogue, knowledge exchange, research, institutional introductions or collaborative exploration and, where appropriate, develop into more structured initiatives over time.
We welcome relationships that bring different forms of knowledge, experience and institutional capacity together in support of stronger learning systems, meaningful pathways for young people, resilient institutions and more inclusive futures.
